About the Position

The Golden State Warriors are looking for In-Game Hosts to enhance our fan experience during home games and serve as team ambassador for scheduled events. We are looking for dynamic and energetic individuals who are comfortable on camera and in front of 17,000 fans. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your basketball knowledge while executing sponsorship features, on-court contests, and other live in-game segments. This position reports to the Executive Producer, Game Experience.

This is a part-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as one of the primary fan-facing personalities for all Warriors’ home games
  • Play an active role in game day entertainment, hosting all assigned in-arena promotions, contests, and other live hits as set forth in the game-by-game script and rundown
  • Remain attentive to cues and communication throughout the game, in order to perform in a timely manner and contribute to the overall production
  • Promote a positive fan experience, interacting with fans of all ages, and work as part of a creative production team
  • Attend pre-game, community, and sponsored events (i.e., open practice, fan fest, Chase Center corporate events, etc.) as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a host or on-air talent in professional or major collegiate sports
  • Strong communication skills; ability to build positive relationships with fans, clients, and peers at all levels throughout the organization and community
  • On-camera presence that emanates excitement, integrity, and approachability; ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of basketball, WNBA, NBA, GSV/GSW history, San Francisco Bay Area, current events, and game production
  • Ability to be flexible, take feedback, and implement changes to performance
  • Improv experience is a plus

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time

Time Commitment

  • Ability to attend all home game events, arriving early for rehearsals or pre-game meetings, as requested

Compensation

  • $70.00 - 100.00 per hour

Submission Requirements

Submissions must include a resume and a link to a performance reel (no longer than 3 minutes in length). Flexible video format; can include reel, a video bio, combination, or other format that showcases applicant’s personality and talent/experience for the role. Video submissions should include candidates’ ability to provide energy to a moment while communicating effectively. The recommended format for the video submissions is an unlisted YouTube, Google Drive, or other cloud access link.

Auditions

Invitations will be sent to potential candidates to attend an in-person audition. Date is TBD (likely between September 15-30).
