Atlanta Hall Management, Inc. (AHM) provides management services to the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame.  Located in the heart of downtown Atlanta across from Centennial Olympic Park, the Hall opened its doors in August 2014 and has secured its reputation as one of Atlanta’s most engaging and interactive attractions.   AHM’s mission is to inspire and entertain by celebrating the passion and traditions of college football and its greatest players and coaches.  
 
Job Summary:
The Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for oversight of all accounting functions from general ledger, payroll, check processing, audit and financial statement preparation and management of the Staff/Senior Accountant.  Proven experience in general ledger closing, Excel and the ability to analyze and interpret data is required.  
 
Role, Responsibilities, and Key Performance Areas:
  • Manage the Organizations Accounting functions and a Staff/Senior Accountant including the monthly closing process, payroll, check processing, general ledger, etc.  
  • Prepare financial analysis of Revenues, Expenses and Balance Sheet as necessary.
  • Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules for Atlanta Hall Management.
  • Coordinate and manage collection of data along with analysis and interpretation of data to enable fact based strategic decision making.
  • Facilitate preparations for the annual financial statement audit and Form 990 Filings.
  • Manages, develops, and updates our Standard Operation Procedures to maintain processes and document controls in place.
  • Work across the organization to understand and influence good financial and accounting processes and disciplines.

Knowledge, Skills, Attributes and Abilities:
  • Able to clearly express ideas; present verbal information in a straightforward manner; ask questions in order to open channels of communication and listen to understand perspective of others
  • Be a self-starter able to work well with minimal supervision
  • Ability to problem solve and interpret data correlations
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must be proficient in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and attention to detail in all aspects of this role.  
  • Capability to learn new systems (Ticketing, Events and others) and ensure that we are able to efficiently utilize the system and obtain relevant reporting
 
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, CPA track preferred
  • 7-9 years of experience in Accounting and Finance functions
  • 3-5 years of management experience in a Finance function
  • Proficient in Accounting Software applications, specifically ADP and SAP Business by Design, preferred
  • Moderate fluency with Microsoft Office Suite
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, and walk
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally
  • The noise level in the work environment usually is moderate; job duties performed in an office environment
