COMPENSATION: Hourly - $18/hr. 
 
The Sales Assistant will assist the Senior Event Sales Manager and Tours & Event Sales Coordinator in various aspects of Rose Bowl Stadium Event/Tour Sales and Marketing. While the Rose Bowl Stadium hosts major sporting and entertainment events it also hosts special events ranging from 10 to 19,000 guests. The Sales Assistant position will directly support the Enterprise Events team in cultivating new relationships and generating more business opportunities.
  
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 -          Assist the marketing and sales team with the following upcoming events. Tasks may include but are not limited to pre-event set-up and day of on-site event support:
o   Oregon vs UCLA – September 28, 2024
o   Craftoberfest – October 5, 2024
o   Minnesota vs UCLA – October 12, 2024
o   Iowa vs UCLA – November 8, 2024
o   USC vs UCLA – November 23, 2024
o   Fresno State vs UCLA – November 30, 2024
o   Holiday Tours – December 26-28, 2024, and January 2, 2025
o   Rose Bowl Game – January 1, 2025
o   Rose Bowl Half Marathon & 5K – January 19, 2025 (TBD)
o   And other specified weekend dates in February and March 2025

-  Aid with the marketing efforts of stadium tours and events
o  Prepare supporting materials as requested
o   Assist in developing the implementation, tracking, and measurement of marketing campaigns
o   Gather content for various graphic design projects (stadium/golf course signage, event sales collateral, etc.)
o   Assist with creating content for weekly social media campaigns
o   Edit and aid in the creation of enterprise events marketing materials (i.e. brochures, flyers, and social media images)
-          Assist sales in the acquisition of enterprise events & tours
o   Schedule and book tours as assigned
o   Assist with day-to-day management of the Rose Bowl tours program including scheduling guides and being onsite for tours (May include weekends).
o   Aid sales team with prospecting including list management, room layouts and proposals
o   Manage email distribution and mailing lists, including new subscribers, opt-outs and bounce backs
o   Support the sales department on event day with client relations and private-party operations
o   Conduct market research analysis for enterprise events
o   Catalog event photography as needed
o   Contribute ideas and suggest new initiatives or areas of improvement
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
-          Ideal candidate will have an interest in sales and marketing within the events industry with a background in hospitality, communications, or business management.
-          Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, as well as social networking sites such as X, Instagram, and Facebook. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Canva is a plus.
-          Knowledge of CRM databases, Salesforce, and VenueOps a plus but not required
-          Must be a strong writer and a self-starter
-          The opportunity is in-office only. Work from home is not offered for this position.

-          Creative writer a plus 
-          Ability to contribute a minimum of 20 hours a week for at least 6 months
