Cardinal Crew is the high energy team that interacts with Stanford fans at every game. Members of the Cardinal Crew will participate in pre-game, in-game and post-game entertainment to enhance the game day experience for all fans. Duties include t-shirt tosses, giveaways, sponsor activations, selecting contestants and executing on field/on court contests, and overall crowd engagement in a positive and upbeat manner.
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a passion for sports. Cardinal Crew members must be energetic and outgoing - they will always display a high energy, enthusiastic, professional and friendly attitude to Stanford fans at games and appearances. As a representative of Stanford Athletics, Cardinal Crew members will be expected to work with and entertain youth groups in attendance as well as large crowds at each event, in order to create the best in-game experience possible.
Job Duties
- Responsible for enhancing the gameday experience at a variety of sports including but not limited to: football, men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, women’s gymnastics, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and softball
- Enjoys performing and interacting with fans, possibly on camera and in front of large crowds
- Comfortable as a yell leader/hype squad member with a goal of creating a top tier home court advantage
- Potential to oversee a winter or spring sport
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Extremely outgoing and personable
- Must be available for the entire academic year (August through May) with a flexible schedule to work nights and weekends
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time, up to 5-8 hours
- Willing to work outdoors in conditions including but not limited to heat, cold and rain
- Able to follow instructions and make decisions on the spot
- Works well in a collaborative team environment
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
Position pay rate: $18.30 - $22.19 / hour, up to 20 hours per week.
