Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in administration for the DI Men’s Basketball preliminary rounds, including coordination of correspondence and messaging between the NCAA and hosts, management of the Teamworks and Smartsheet applications, development of meeting agendas and speaking points, preparation and updating operational manuals, and assisting with site visit coordination of preliminary round sites. Primary Teamworks application liaison for all rounds of the Championship.  
  • Manage all aspects of the Division II Men’s Basketball Championship, including the selection process, preparation of agendas, supplements, automatic qualifier information, and information for hosts and site representatives.
  • Primary Teamworks application liaison for the NCAA College Basketball Academy.
  • Site representative for preliminary rounds of the Men’s Basketball Championship.
  • Oversee sustainability initiatives across all rounds of the Division I Men’s Basketball Championship and assist with Final Four game management and operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

  • Education Required High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations and event management, preferably in basketball operations.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision, quickly and under pressure.
  • Ability to balance multiple responsibilities, including independent ownership of projects.
  • Operating knowledge of Windows based software including PowerPoint, Excel and Word. 
  • Meeting planning and other administrative tasks preferred.
  • Estimated Travel Required <10%
  • This position will be based out of the national office in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Current work environment is hybrid; 3 days in the office and 2 days are remote.

Experience
