Job Responsibilities    

  • Oversee special projects for the DI Men’s Basketball Final Four including but not limited to info centers, fan experience/street teams, working group text app, local organizing committee (LOC) mementos, clear bag program, Smartsheet schedules and documents, the clean zone, and Elite 90 Award.
  • Oversee the LOC’s execution of the Final Four Dribble event.
  • Manage in-venue catering regarding staffing plan, food orders and replenishment plan for Final Four.
  • Oversee Final Four Friday Smartsheet schedule and operations throughout planning.
  • Oversee participating team credential pin process for all rounds of the tournament and assist director with Final Four credential process, working with credential contractor, as well as internal and external constituents.
  • Organize various planning and wrap-up meetings for the Men’s Final Four such as monthly LOC wrap-ups and working group meetings.
  • Assist with the management and coordination of the Facility Coordination Group at the Final Four, as well as NCAA security consultants.
  • Oversee projects for the NCAA College Basketball Academy including player nomination and voting portals, NCAA College Basketball website, Host Seminar, player/team assignments and game scores and tournament bracketing.
  • Serve as site representative for preliminary rounds of the Men’s Basketball Championship.  
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Education Required High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations and event management, preferably in basketball operations.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision, quickly and under pressure.
  • Ability to balance multiple responsibilities, including independent ownership of projects.
  • Operating knowledge of Windows based software including PowerPoint, Excel and Word. 
  • Meeting planning and other administrative tasks preferred.
  • Estimated Travel Required <10%
  • This position will be based out of the national office in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Current work environment is hybrid; 3 days in the office and 2 days are remote.
