This position is responsible for coordinating an organized, efficient operation at the Hershey Lodge. The Front Desk Coordinator will provide supervisory support to the Front Office and Guest Services department at the Hershey Lodge.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

  • Supervise the day-to-day operation of guest registration and the checkout process.

  • Coordinate scheduling and delegating assignments to Front Office team members as needed.

  • Coordinate room inventory daily through blocking rooms efficiently and continuously monitoring room status and overbook levels.

  • Ensure excellent guest services by providing resolutions for all guest opportunities promptly and executing special requests.

  • Disseminate information daily to team members throughout the Department.

  • Assist in establishing and executing a daily sell strategy. 

  • Onboard and provide continuous training to employees in all areas of the Department.

  • Oversee group reservations and information binder.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older 

  • Must have a valid driver's license 

  • High School Degree or Equivalent 

  • 1 year experience in front office or night audit position 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with computerized Front Office Systems policies and procedures 

  • Keyboarding skills and PC familiarity 

  • Proven leadership experience 

  • Proven guest/employee relations, problem solving and organizational skills 

  • Must have ability to work independently and use good judgment 

  • Must be able to perform multiple tasks at once and establish priorities 

Job Demands:

  • Physical requirements include standing up to 45% of the shift, walking, finger dexterity, hand/eye coordination, bending, stooping, the visual ability to perform detailed work at close distance, hearing and speaking. 

  • Must present professional image appropriate to the Hershey Lodge standards 

  • Shift Varies - Hours between 7am to 11pm. Weekends, holidays, and overtime may be required.
