Stadium Operations - F/T Utility Maintenance Field and Upper Level

Position Profile:    
Full Time Utility Maintenance Field and Upper Level
Department: Stadium Services
Reports to: Stadium Site Manager
Status: Full Time Non-Exempt, Union 
Shift Hours: 7:00am- 3:30pm Monday - Friday
Wages: $27.59/hr.

JOB SUMMARY: Utility Maintenance Personnel are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium and surrounding property. This individual’s responsibilities will include working as a member of the trash crew supporting Extra Yard for the Environment initiatives among other roles. Duties and hours may vary. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Trash and Recycle Removal – Remove trash and recycle materiel and haul to appropriate areas. Identify material that are recyclable / compostable and ensure its taken to appropriate location. Familiarity with green initiatives and willingness to work towards meeting goals of the Chiefs Extra Yard for the Environment program. Maintain cleanliness of sorting machine, recycle center, biodigester areas and all areas associated with stadium recycling program.
  2. Operate Equipment- Experience operating and working around large equipment along with proven ability to learn further operation of large equipment. Large equipment may include but is not limited to the following Boom Lift, Scissor Lift, Tractor, Forklift, Rocky Dumpsters, Sorting Machine, Biodigester, Snow removal equipment, Pull Trailers, Company Truck and more.
  3. Stadium Seating Bowl – Hose assigned areas in seating bowl and maintain the integrity of the hoses and nozzles. Sweep and unclog drains. Using ladders and dusters to clean TVs, LED Ribbon Boards, Speakers, and Railings. Use 24/7 to ensure assigned checkpoints are completed on schedule.
  4. Power Washer Work- Use trailered power washer and portable power washer to clean recycling facility, sorting machine, biodigester areas, totes, concourse, aprons, equipment and other areas of facilities.
  5. Glass and Exterior Cleaning – Utilize the Unger Wand, trailer tank and lifts for exterior window washing. Utilize lifts necessary to clean exterior of facility and areas requiring lift work.
  6. Operation of Lifts- Operate and use lifts to unload/load deliveries and to clean areas that requires boom/scissor/forklift operation. Operate forklift to move and dump rocky dumpsters and recycling.
  7. Snow Removal – Ability to work in the freezing temperatures for extended periods of time at all times of day or night, carry 50lb bags of ice melt for distances and upstairs. Shovel snow and walkways, scatter ice melt and work snow events. Stage ice melt in seating bowl and around facility as necessary.
  8. Restrooms – Maintain cleanliness utilizing proper equipment (Kaivac), chemicals, and supplies. Restock paper products.
  9. Cleaning- Experience and knowledge using standard cleaning and disinfection chemicals and techniques in offices and different environments

  7. Experience operating large equipment and forklifts preferred
  8. Experience in waste management and or recycling preferred
  9. Recycling knowledge and experiences preferred
  10. Strong attention to detail

  1. Reports to work each day and on time and works extra hours when needed.
  2. Employee must comply with proper safety policies and procedures as required (i.e. when using cleaning chemicals, reporting incidents, etc).
  3. Provides excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
  4. The employee must be able to determine the neatness, accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  5. If required to travel for business maintains a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  6. Must undergo and pass a background check.           
  7. Must be approved by Management.
