The DCM Warehouse Night Shift Manager is responsible for directing the operations of the entire DCM warehouse during the second shift. This position will work closely with each department manager to ensure daily needs are supervised.  Assist with gathering information and data points to properly forecast and staff.  Follow performance measures and use tools to track daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual performance of associates.  Assist in identifying talent among team and working with managers on succession plans.  Identify opportunities and build programs for continuous improvements in quality and service levels.

 

Job Duties:

  • Maintain safety policy and procedures throughout the warehouse
  • Review all open work and direct nightly responsibilities
  • Manage staff and job duties.
  • Liaisons between all departments, ensuring all tasks are executed to the best quality.
  • Concentration on the entire process and all warehouse departments.
  • Assist in analyzing internal logistical problems and help develop new solutions.
  • Drive a performance-based environment, metric driven by utilizing/analyzing real time data.
  • Coach and educate employees on operational policies and procedures.
  • Conduct & participate weekly touch base operational meetings (one-on-one and group), strong communication skills – develop direct reports.
  • Creating and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Assist in directing/designing/implementing staffing processes for hiring seasonal/part time employees.
  • Actively participate in operations meetings (production, operation, process, system, etc.).
  • Ownership of warehouse ops in the absence of the Dept Managers, as a back-up to the operations.
  • Perform other functions and activities as directed by the Operations Manager.

Requirements:

  • College degree and experience required.
  • Previous administrative and warehouse experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Able to simultaneously manage a very high level of detail across multiple projects.
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure.
  • Able to work well within a team environment, helping to support team members whenever necessary.

Able to work Monday – Friday 3:00pm – 12:00am with flexibility for irregular
