Graphic Design Intern
The Massachusetts Pirates are a professional football team competing in the Indoor Football League and are entering our 6th season! Our team is growing and we would love to add you to it.
This is a part-time, seasonal position, and the ideal candidate would be enthusiastic about working in the sports industry. Season runs from March - August in 2025.
This part-time position is unpaid, but has an opportunity for credits towards your education. Our hours are flexible and the ideal candidate would be enthusiastic about working in a customer-facing role with strong interpersonal skills
**Applicants will only be considered with a portfolio**

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be available for all (8) Pirates home games at the Tsongas Center 300 Arcand Dr, Lowell, MA 01852 (plus any home playoff games)
  • Developing graphics packages for a wide range of media including social, web, email, apparel, outdoor, marketing promotions, and in-game needs. 
  • Assist in creating and editing graphics for social media content and videoboard elements. 
  • Work closely with the Director of Media and Content
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple simultaneous projects
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Ability to take creative direction and feedback from others


Physical Demands

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
