Summary:

The Director of Development for the Miami Dolphins is responsible for Miami Dolphins Foundation fundraising, end-to-end grant management, and collaborating with Corporate Partnerships and other internal stakeholders to secure strategic community sponsorships. The Director will also play an important role in representing the organization’s philanthropic brand throughout South Florida.

This is a full-time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan that includes major gifts, events and campaigns to support the broader Miami Dolphins Foundation, including the Nat Moore Endowment
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Partnerships team to secure sponsorships and work closely with the Community Programs team to ensure strong execution of sponsor activation commitments
  • Manage the Miami Dolphins Foundation giving strategy and processes, ensuring timely communication, relationship management, and grant distribution
  • Work closely with the Vice President of Community Impact and the Board of Directors to develop annual fundraising goals
  • Track and analyze fundraising data throughout the year to evaluate performance and adjust strategies when needed
  • Conduct regular analysis of partner grant-funded programs to evaluate impact
  • Develop annual reports in partnership with the broader Community Impact department
  • Lead the Development team, providing strategic direction, support and performance management for staff
  • Responsible for the Foundation and overall community communication calendar, working in collaboration with Marketing and Communications to enhance philanthropic messaging to increase giving and engage donors
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with 7+ years of community or nonprofit experience
  • Strong communication skills including effective public speaking abilities
  • Demonstrated passion for creating lasting community impact
  • Experience producing strategic and effective fundraising campaigns and events
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Team player with strong personnel management, communication, time management and organizational skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
