Summary:

The Director, Food and Beverage (F&B) is responsible for driving the planning and accountability for all food and beverage efforts for the Miami Dolphins & all in-stadium Events. This position will partner with our stadium food services partner, Sodexo, to drive a customer-centric F&B consumer mindset and maintain relationships with both internal and external F&B stakeholders. This individual will work cross departmentally to achieve organizational goals and will drive strategic initiatives and new brand partnerships.

Location:

This is a full-time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a point person for the food and beverage team regarding all new special projects, strategic initiatives and new partnerships for the organization
  • Ensure quality control of all F&B product and experiences for fans attending events at Hard Rock Stadium
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and logistics for all food, beverage, and restaurant partners
  • Work with Corporate Partnerships to manage all F&B partnerships and serve as a resource for potential activations and concession partners
  • Streamline communication between departments regarding F&B programming
  • Oversee existing relationships with Sodexo Live! and Food Group Management
  • Identify consumer trends and implement new ideas/products to increase revenue
  • Gather, consolidate and organize all aspects of new concept development and existing concept renewal
  • Work with Finance to build and manage the budget for hospitality efforts
  • This to include event by event audits and invoice verification for accuracy
  • Advise and direct all F&B operations to ensure legal compliance and safety as top priorities
  • Support the delivery of exceptional customer service while maintaining spending controls
  • Provide direction on gamedays/event days to ensure all F&B product is up to standard
  • Review F&B Signage & quality of interior and exterior concessions for maintenance & CapEx requirements
  • Monitor and evaluate pricing in-venue and in the marketplace

Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in hospitality, food and beverage, luxury, business administration or related field
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Advanced food and Beverage service & sanitation training course certification (Serve Safe and TIPS preferred)
  • Effective leadership skills to build a department and cultivate inter-departmental relationships
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Problem solving ability in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Team-focused attitude
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office suite as well as ability to learn multiple POS systems and BOH systems
  • Available to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings, and weekends consistent with entity events
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required in English and additionally preferred in Spanish
