Youth on Course is a nationally recognized non-profit based in Monterey, CA serving over 200,000 youth through subsidized rounds of golf, high school internships, and college scholarships. Additionally, Youth on Course recently launched an exciting alumni product to continue servicing Youth on Course members into adulthood. Position: Director, Technology Solutions
Status: Exempt
Reports to: Chief Technology Officer

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director, Technology Solutions position fulfills a key role within Youth on Course’s technology team as an integral component of the organization’s growth opportunity. Success in this position hinges on the ability to oversee new and existing technology systems to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly and efficiently. Attainment will be measured by the organization’s ongoing growth and ensuring existing systems do not hinder that growth. As such, this role must demonstrate the ability to work independently, learn quickly, and combine a strong work ethic with a collaborative, team-oriented attitude. This position will receive general guidance from the Chief Technology Officer and work collaboratively with all YOC staff to meet the technology system needs of the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee the management and optimization of the Salesforce and Hubspot platforms, ensuring they meets the needs of the organization
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of Salesforce and Hubspot solutions to support program management, fundraising, and internal operations
  • Maintain Salesforce and Hubspot as part of the admin team (e.g. create users, build reports, create new fields, automations, etc.)
  • Tier 2 (technical) and Tier 3 (expert) support on technology solutions including but not limited to member registration, donation portal, mobile app, and the course portal
  • Monitor and support existing automations
  • Lead meetings with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements
  • Project manage technology projects and manage a pipeline of priorities
  • Provide ongoing support to the Youth on Course team for all technology systems
  • Maintain documentation on technology systems on internal wiki
  • Implement and maintain technology policies, procedures, and best practices

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in technology management, with a focus on Salesforce administration and development
  • Proven experience in leading and managing technology teams
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects
  • Superior written, oral and organizations skills; highly effective at multitasking
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the Youth on Course community.
  • Supreme attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn something new, through independent research as well as instruction from existing members of technology team
  • Research and stay current on Salesforce trends and how those trends may benefit Youth on Course
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks with interruptions in an energetic team environment
  • Ability to prioritize work based upon urgency and need of various projects. Ability to communicate deadlines and project status to constituents, helping them understand the larger picture of the needs for the organization
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Developer) are not required but are highly desirable
  • Experience coding or managing React Native mobile applications is not required but highly desirable

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Familiarity with the non-profit environment and golf

WORK SCHEDULE:
  • Typically Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm; some late nights and weekend work required. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This is a full-time, Exempt position, with an expected salary in the range of $116,000-$125,000 annually. Some clothing will be provided, with the employee expected to source and maintain a high-standard of attire at all times. Benefit package includes health, dental and vision insurance. Dependents may be added with premiums paid by the employee. Participation in the company’s 401k plan after one full year of employment. PTO, holidays, meals, and golf benefits also included.
