QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of related general building maintenance repair experience. Prior experience with commercial experience preferred.
Must be flexible in hours and days worked
Working knowledge of plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, and/or other general repair skills
Prior experience with project management, vendor oversight and bid review
Excellent organization, time management and project management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Obtain any locally required certification as needed such a forklift certification
Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License
Basic computer skills required
Memory retention skills required
Able to safely operate a utility vehicle such as, but not limited to, golf carts, utility carts, and shuttle carts
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Perform routine maintenance including light carpentry, drywall repair, painting, caulking, etc.
Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems (filter changes, drain pan inspections, fuse changes, etc.)
Repair/Replace locks and service doors and/or hinges
Monitor and fix leaks, clogs or other issues related to plumbing
Repair lighting (interior, ceiling and cubicle lights, change ballasts)
Replace ceiling tiles and performing minor grid work
Install applicable signage and wall décor throughout campus
Perform preventative maintenance tasks
Utilize CMMS platform to submit, receive and complete work orders
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Responds to on-call and after-hours emergency situations.
Special projects or other duties as assigned.
