The Role
Provide strategic financial, accounting, and operational support, ensuring alignment with the USTA's mission to grow tennis and inspire healthier people and communities across the nation. This role is critical in driving financial planning, budgeting, and fulfillment operations that directly contribute to the long-term success and impact of USTA initiatives 
Finance, Budgeting, and Accounting:
  • Manage and Complete the annual budgeting process, including the development of departmental budgets, financial projections, and long-term financial plans.
  • Possesses an understanding of zero-based budgeting, and experience in developing and tracking KPIs and metrics to support financial and operational performance.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Provide strategic financial insights to Senior Director to support decision-making and long- term planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, budgeting systems, and reporting
  • Support & liaise with Section Leadership on Section related financial items, i.e.: Section Funding Accountability, Section audit requests, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and
  • Support the daily management of invoices, purchase orders and contracts
  • Barter and Value In-Kind reporting and tracking for review with auditors and for financial statement recognition.
  • Ad hoc reporting, financial modeling and special projects for Senior Director,
Fulfillment Operations:
  • Manage Net Generation product inventory (review of schedules to add new additions and to record inventory used during the month)
  • Provide strategic support for the operations team, including inventory management, order processing, and logistics, ensuring efficient and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fulfillment operations and drive initiatives to improve performance. 
Leadership and Team Management:
  •  Drive cross-functional collaboration between finance, accounting, and operations teams to achieve company objectives
Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related CPA or MBA a plus
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance, budgeting, accounting, and/or fulfillment operations, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and financial
  • Experience in supply chain management, logistics, or fulfillment operations is a
  • Proficiency in financial management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making
  • Strong leadership and team management
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Detail oriented and well organized
  • High level of proficiency in excel, able to analyze larger datasets and develop financial
  • Experience with complex bank reconciliations which included a high volume of credit card settlements
  • Excellent communication and organization
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter

The expected range for the base salary for this position is $90,000– 100,000.   This range does not include any additional pay or benefits for which a person may qualify. The actual base salary offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, the years of relevant experience, their unique skills, and the location from which they will be performing the job.
