Summary:   
The Director, Partnerships is responsible for serving as the client/account lead for the WTA Ventures Partnerships team supporting key client relationships/events in the MENA region.  Duties will include: strategic planning, project management, partner servicing and executing marketing initiatives, budget management, developing creative concepts, cross-functional stakeholder management, ROI reporting and renewal support.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for managing and optimizing WTA partnerships with sponsors and events; main focus on managing marketing campaigns and activations including but not limited to: leading the delivery of partnership activations on behalf of the WTA for partners in the Middle East, maximizing all opportunities for exposure, hindsight reporting, and providing additional value for the partnership.
  • Manage partnership operations for WTA’s flagship event, WTA Finals Riyadh, in co-ordination with Tournament Promoter. Ensure that all partnerships assets across client portfolio are executed correctly.
  • Plan, execute and track partnership deliverables against current partner business objectives and KPIs; ultimately generate maximum ROI, ROO and results.
  • Develop project plans to deliver against strategic initiatives. Work across partners, agencies, events and WTA organization to communicate plans and ensure delivery.
  • Build & nurture relationships with key stakeholders/partners; including but not limited to organizing and leading cross functional sponsorship meetings, functions, events and activations.
  • Key source of inbound information about partnership strategy and the translation of the partner’s needs into proactive solutions working with WTA Marketing, Digital and Creative teams.
  • Manage partnership budget and ensure all resources are utilized to optimum levels 
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sports management, business administration or related field required. MBA or master’s equivalent preferred. 
  • 7 -10 years of experience in partnership management with an agency or sports/entertainment property ss preferred
  • Project management or consulting background preferred
  • Experience working in / with MENA region preferred 
  • Experience with international/global brands preferred
  • Strong experience in MS Office Suite 
  • Knowledge of and passion for tennis preferred

Travel Requirements:
Up to 25-50% to domestic and international destinations
