Summary:   
The Intern, Creative will assist the in-house creative team at various WTA touchpoints, from social and digital media to physical Tournament branding. This role offers the opportunity to participate in storytelling efforts under the guidance of experienced designers. This is a 6 month internship.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Support the design and visualization of content for social and digital platforms.
  • Help incorporate strategic business requirements and brand guidelines into all design efforts.
  • Assist in creating artwork assets derived from key art, formatted for various platforms.
  • Participate in the production of updates for tournament print ads, special event collages, template updates, and player photography edits.
  • Occasionally assist with presentation design and visual support.
  • Contribute to brand consistency across multiple platforms.
  • Support the creation of design solutions from briefs and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
  • Stay updated with social platform trends, industry innovations, and graphic design techniques.
  • Assist in maintaining workflow efficiency and suggest improvements in tools and methodologies.
  • Contribute to design outputs including social media content, digital assets for local tournaments, animated GIFs, web banners, presentation templates, and other marketing materials.
 
Education and Experience:
  • Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a graphic design or related program.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and MS suite.
  • Interest or experience in social media and digital content creation.
  • Basic understanding of design principles (typography, layout, composition, color theory) and production skills.
  • Experience with motion graphics is a plus.
  • Background or interest in HTML/email design is a plus.
 
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • The ideal candidate will also possess a passion for and understanding of the sport of tennis, related governing bodies and industry stakeholders
  • Strong graphic design understanding of foundation principles (typography, layout, composition, color theory), production and hands-on skills

Position Type/Work Schedule:
Seasonal, 40 hours a week for 26 weeks. Typical schedule will be Monday-Friday. Occasional nights and weekends based on tournaments/needs.

Working Conditions
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.

The employee is required to sit for long periods; use close/distant vision; hear using the telephone; bend at the waist and knee; communicate verbally and electronically with worldwide constituency; use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
