Racquets Professional
Brier Creek Country Club with four har-tru, three hard, and four pickleball courts in Raleigh, North Carolina is looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working Racquets Professional.

Position Overview:
The Racquets Professional position supports the execution of all tennis and pickleball activities as assigned and directed by the Club’s Director of Racquets, including developing and promoting racquets programs for all age groups. The Racquets Professional provides instruction and service to ensure that member needs are met and that the experience we deliver surpasses expectations. In the absence of the Director of Racquets, the Assistant is the Manager on Duty and as such is responsible for all aspects of the program and facilities. As a member of the greater Racquets Team, the Racquets Professional keeps an eye on court conditions and the overall appearance of the entire Racquets facility. Competency in group teaching, private instruction, and event management, is necessary. Our pickleball program is in its infancy, so any coaching experience would be beneficial. The ideal candidate will have USPTA or PTR certification or be willing to take the necessary steps in becoming certified with the support of the Club. The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, collaborative, communicative and enjoys being part of a team and growing and improving each day.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  •  Work with the DoR in planning and coordinating all instructional programs including clinics, lessons and special events such as tournaments and Member Guests. 
  • Organize racquets clinics and private lessons and encourage participation in all of the Club’s racquets activities. 
  • Help ensure the timely preparation of all materials for publications and updates to the club website. 
  • Act as the Club’s Racquets Ambassador to enhance the value of the club to our members. 
  • Support the DoR by helping to build a sense of team among full time staff. 
  • Assist in administrative tasks such as member charges, sales, and scheduling as directed by Head Racquets Professional. 
  • Assist at running member tournaments, mixers and other special events as requested by DoR. 

Compensation package includes a competitive hourly rate in addition to on-court instruction fees for clinics, group programs, events and individual lessons. Benefits include medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K program with Club match, uniform and continuing education support. 
Requirements: 1-3 years of teaching experience at private club Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and teaching experience. Ideally, a successful candidate will have USPTA or PTR certification. Strong racquets playing background Experience teaching at a high level along with working with kids of all levels ROGY.
