The starting hourly rate range for this position is $25.80 to $32.25 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will take internal value, peer equity, job-related factors, and other organizational considerations into account.

The Graphic Designer is a full-time role on the creative team of OC Sports and Entertainment, creating visual assets for the Anaheim Ducks and Honda Center. This role encompasses a broad range of design tasks across print, merchandise, and digital mediums. The ideal candidate will possess a mix of creative flair and technical proficiency and be ready to contribute to team projects while also capable of handling solo assignments with initiative and creativity. As a multi-faceted creative, the Graphic Designer plays an integral role in maintaining brand consistency while pushing the boundaries of visual design used to support a variety of departments with both internal and external work.
The Graphic Designer will assist their fellow Graphic Designers & Senior Graphic Designer with tasks and graphics as assigned. The Graphic Designer should be able to think outside the box and help the design team create fresh and new concepts. An ideal candidate will specialize in print-related design with a secondary focus on digital (web, digital display & social media). The ideal candidate is comfortable with production tasks, enjoys collaboration, and is unafraid to express creative ideas. The position also requires a candidate comfortable working with and communicating with different departments within the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize and design creative assets, including print and digital ads, social media graphics, email templates, event signage, and merchandise, which align with the Anaheim Ducks brand identity and meet business objectives
  • Work closely with the Associate Creative Director to develop visual concepts and execute them
  • Ensure that all creative work is on-brand and consistent across all channels
  • Stay up-to-date on design trends and emerging technologies and incorporate them into the team's work
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring that deadlines and budgets are met
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to understand project requirements, provide design solutions, and meet stakeholder expectations
  • Prepare and deliver final creative assets in appropriate formats for various channels
  • Maintain organized design files and creative server folders to appropriately archive all creative work
Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of graphic design experience, preferably within a sports, entertainment, or related industry
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and comfortable with digital design tools
  • Knowledge of branding, typography, color theory, and layout design principles
  • Knowledge of Figma a plus
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a range of skills from print to digital, including merchandise design
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under the direction of the Associate Creative Director and alongside senior designers
  • Creative thinker with attention to detail and a passion for delivering outstanding design
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapt to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Education -  Bachelor's Degree
Experience Required – 1+
