Facility Operations/Event Staff: Operations

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepares detailed outlines and instructions for events as required, based on lessee needs, and distributes information to the appropriate building personnel and event staff
  • Assures the facility set-ups are in accordance with lessee agreements and needs, safety, fire and health codes and procedures
  • Determines staffing levels based on lessee needs for all event staff
  • Assist in the recruitment and hiring of event staff
  • Schedule and provide direction and direct supervision to all event staff members
  • Review and approve timesheets for select operations departments to ensure accuracy
  • Provides financial reports and estimates
  • Acts as Manager on Call for off hours as assigned/scheduled
  • Act as Manager on Duty for all localized events and designated arena events as assigned
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of all information and issues worked with
  • Maintains a professional attitude and appearance at all times
  • Assists in various project work as necessary
  • Performs other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident

 

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:

  • A four-year degree from an accredited college or university
  • Two years event management experience in a public assembly facility
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD preferred
  • Knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with computer software pertinent to the job
  • Must be able to work irregular, extended hours as required to ensure proper supervisor of all events scheduled in the facility. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to walk, stand and move quickly about the building in emergent situations.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Compensation

 $55,000 - $65,000, NOTE: Wages will be determined based on factors such as candidate experience, qualifications, skill set and internal equity.
