Summary

The Buffalo Sabres are excited to hire a part-time assistant massage therapist to work in a collaborative, team environment performing therapeutic sports massage to athletes. Candidates must possess and maintain an active New York state massage license and registration. Candidates should have strong anatomical knowledge and a minimum of three years prior work experience in the field of massage therapy.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide on-site massage therapy treatments at the Keybank Center in Buffalo, NY
• Clearly communicate with supervisor, other team practitioners and athletes
• Must have the flexibility to work around the team schedule (work schedule can be established in advance based off of the team calendar)
• Ability to work in a training room setting and manage treatments on the fly
• Maintain a positive attitude and an eagerness to collaborate, learn and be part of a team
• Maintain hygienic work space

Minimum Qualifications for the Position:

• Active NY state massage license and registration
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Liability insurance
• Minimum three years of prior work experience

Compensation

• This role pays between $75 - $150.00 per hour. NOTE: Wages will be determined based on factors such as candidate experience, qualifications, skill set and internal equity.
