Summary

To ensure the safety and consistency of ice conditions for NHL and non-NHL ice related activities held in the facility. To assist the ice department with all day to day tasks concerning ice maintenance and the ice maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain ice quality to NHL standards daily
2. Aid with the responsibilities of gameday procedures
3. Work in both a team and individual setting effectively
4. Aid in maintaining safe and proper conditions with the ice, boards, glass and bench areas
5. Perform routine and emergency maintenance on Zambonis
6. Assist with the ice installation process
7. Restoring safe and proper ice conditions to NHL standards following conversions
8. Operate the ice plant for NHL and non-NHL ice related activities
9. Help with building maintenance when time allows

Education/Training

• High School Diploma or Equivalent. Must have knowledge of Ice Plant Operation, Level Ice and Zamboni. Must be of good character.

Experience

Knowledge of ice plant operation as well as previous Ice Technician and Zamboni driving experience is preferred.   (three to five years)

 Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand, sit, walk for extended and varying periods of time; Must be able to walk stairs; Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; Must be willing and able to respond to emergent situations; Must be able to work irregular hours that include the following:

Schedule

This role is part time which may include varying shifts, weekends and holidays.

Compensation

This role pays $17.00 per hour
