Department: Revenue Generation, Ticket Sales

Reports to: Manager, Ticket Sales


Hours: Office time maximum of 21 hours per week 

Term: August 19, 2024 to April 26, 2025


The Top Shelf:

The Group Ticket Sales Assistant is a part time position. The Assistant will be responsible for supporting the team generating Group Ticket Sales for the Rockford IceHogs. The ideal candidate will be highly energetic and self-motivated 

How You’ll Contribute:

  • Support the group sales prospecting function via research and analysis, ideation sessions, assistance in the preparation of sales proposals, practicing and participating in prospect sales pitches.
  • Manage the pre-game for each performance group (a school, business, etc that has purchased a block of ten tickets or greater) that has been sold by our Group Sales Team.  This logistical operation requires patience, persistence and multiple outreaches via phone, text and email.  It also requires attention to detail as a waiver is required prior to any group members’ participation in the arena.  
  • Manage the game experience for each performance group that requires such, escorting performance groups on the event level to their performance area and back to their seats,   
  • Maintain diligent and real-time Salesforce CRM entries. 
  • Provide ticket inquiry phone support for Revenue Team as needed.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Player Stats and Qualifications:

  • College degree and/or working towards a college degree.
  • Enthusiastic collaborator and belief that varying perspectives and contributors create an improved outcome. 
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with others at all management levels. 
  • Superior organization and time management skills. 
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, CRM (Salesforce) and the internet. 
  • Passion for sports and hockey. 
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as event schedule commands. 
  • Ability to address, adapt to, and overcome challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • High attention to detail

The Team:

The Rockford IceHogs, founded in 1999 and members of the American Hockey League (AHL), is a premier organization and primary development affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks. Located in Rockford, IL, the Team calls the newly renovated BMO Center its home and offices in downtown Rockford, 401 E State Street.

As the longest running professional sports team in Rockford, the organization has developed a passionate local fan base and has set multiple attendance records over the years, while establishing a strong a community presence.
