Summary:
The Iowa Heartlanders Marketing department is seeking enthusiastic interns interested in gaining hands-on experience with a minor league hockey program. You will be paid $50 a game day, with unpaid office hours. We require 4 hours a week for office hours. This position will provide interested candidates with the opportunity to learn behind-the-scenes operations of event production and fan experience. These highly motivated individuals will be key contributors in many facets of event production, such as in-game promotions, contests, fan interaction, and coordination of talent performances.
Responsibilities:
- Execute in-game promotions and contests
- Gather contestants for promotions
- Coordinate on-camera hits with emcee, anthem singers, groups, and other talent
- Assist fans as needed to enhance their overall game experience
- Assist with all post-game tear down and clean up
- Assist with projects and planning
- Assist with the creation of timelines, scripts, and in-game promotions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Flexible schedule (shifts include nights, weekends, holidays) **Must work all home games**
- Work effectively within a fast-paced team environment
- Communicate and engage with internal clients, vendors, or fans with a customer-first attitude
- Stand/walk for an extended period of time
- Think creatively and have fun in a team environment
- Lift up to 50 lbs
