This is an unpaid internship and can be used towards school credit if needed.
The Videographer Intern will work closely with the Ghost Pirates content team and other various members of the organization and be involved in the content creation for the Savannah Ghost Pirates. Candidates should expect to build upon their work experience in the fast-paced, results-driven world of the ECHL. Finalists will be contacted for interviews. All applications will be kept on file until the beginning of the internship program that each candidate applied for.
Responsibilities:
- Create engaging digital content such as videos and other forms of multimedia
- Shoot and edit high-quality videos for various projects, including games, practices, and other Ghost Pirates events
- Conceptualize video features for the Ghost Pirates digital channels
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that the content aligns with the overall goals of the brand.
- Archive and organize all footage and material
- Must live in or able to reliably commute to Savannah for Ghost Pirates home games and practices
- Other duties as assigned
Internship Requirements
- Advance software skills required: Adobe Premiere (After Effects is a plus)
- Experience creating social content for platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn
- Ability to create fun content with the players
- Experience creating a wide variety of content for social media and beyond
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have a sense of accountability
- Must have reliable transportation and housing in the Savannah area
- Must be able to attend all Ghost Pirates home games
- Ability to commit to September - April for the regular season, may be needed through June for postseason
Education and Experience
- Currently working towards or have graduated with a degree in Sports Marketing or related field
Prior experience working in an in-house creative team, creative agency, or related, with knowledge and enthusiasm for professional sports
