Position Overview
The Utah Grizzlies, the Premier AA hockey Organization in North America, seeks an experienced Corporate Account Executive to join the Corporate Partnerships team.  The Account Executive is responsible for the planning, execution, and day-to-day management of all aspects surrounding sponsorship agreements.  This position will act as the liaison between multiple partners and/or their agencies, and internal departments of the Utah Grizzlies organization.  The ideal candidate is very detail oriented, follows through with assigned duties, has a hunter mentality, continually cultivates new leads, and follows up with all prospects. 
 
Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for understanding each partnership's goals, objectives and responsibilities, for both the customers and the Utah Grizzlies
  • Generate ideas for new sponsorship opportunities including but not limited to in-game elements, retail promotions, events, website and social media features, printed and/or digital signage, and community relations programs
  • Build partnership proposals and effectively present information to clients, partners, and internal representatives with the ability to answer any questions or concerns
  • Be a marketing and advertising consultant for customers and partners, ensuring effective campaigns are created and expectations properly managed when during execution
  • Be fiscally responsible and ensure sponsor’s promotional activations are within the established budget
  • Play an essential role in maintaining collateral, articles, photographs, newspaper clippings, press releases, statistics, etc. for use in preparing and presenting inclusive sponsor recaps to key decision makers during the contract renewal process
  • Effectively comprehend, organize, and present syndicated research internally and externally for the benefit of partnership development and education
  • Manage and track all account history, relationship details and partnership activation details in CRM on a consistent basis

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or sports preferred but not required
  • 3+ years of experience in sales or sponsorships in the sports or entertainment industry (professional sports experience preferred)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
  • Ability to effectively manage a high level of detail across multiple clients and projects
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness 
  • Ability to work well within a team environment, offering assistance and support to team members whenever necessary
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in all situations
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to balance internal priorities with client expectations
  • Must be flexible regarding work hours including nights, weekends, and holidays 

 Physical Aspects of Position (includes but are not limited to):
  • Sitting for long periods of time 
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs
  • Occasional walking, standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
