The Worcester Railers HC of the ECHL is looking for multiple FOR CREDIT ONLY Business Operations Interns for the 2024-25 Academic Year starting in September and ending in December or continuing throughout the season. Candidates must be current college students and must be able to dedicate 15+ hours a week to the internship. Strong verbal skills are essential, as is the ability to work well in a dynamic, small-office environment. The successful candidate should be dependable, able to handle multiple tasks, and work long hours (evenings, weekends & holidays included).
Basic Duties:
- Assist Sr. Manager of Business Strategy with front of house operations
- Interns should be motivated to represent the Worcester Railers brand
- Interns should be able to speak to fans and assist with issues that arise on game days
- Assist with both Giveaway preparation and distribution
- Interns may work office hours during the week to gain additional experience
Requirements:
- Must receive college credit towards degree.
- Available to work a minimum of 15+ hours a week, including nights and weekends.
- Available to work 90% of home games during the season.
- Must have reliable transportation or live in the Worcester area
Desired Qualifications:
- Pursuit of Sports Management, Business Management, Marketing or other Business degrees preferred.
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette.
- Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of projects.
- Basic knowledge of ice hockey encouraged but not required.
