The Worcester Railers HC of the ECHL is looking for multiple FOR CREDIT ONLY Ticket Sales Interns in the 2024-25 Academic Year starting in September and ending in December or continuing throughout the season. Candidates must be current college students and must be able to dedicate 15+ hours a week to the internship. Strong verbal skills are essential, as is the ability to work well in a dynamic, small-office environment. The successful candidate should be dependable, able to handle multiple tasks, and work long hours (evenings, weekends & holidays included).
Game Operations & Office:
- Interns will be required to attend all Railers HC events as requested (Including 90% of Home Games)
- Interns should be motivated to represent the Worcester Railers brand
- Interns will assist the ticket sales staff on gamedays at the fan experience table
- Interns will assist the ticket sales staff with the fulfillment of groups sales activations
- Interns may work office hours during the week and gain additional sales experience
Desired Qualifications:
- Pursuit of Sport Management, Sales, Marketing, Business, Corporate Partnerships degree preferred
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette
- Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of projects
- Basic knowledge of ice hockey encouraged but not required
Requirements:
- Must receive college credit.
- Available to work a minimum of 15+ hours a week, including nights and weekends.
- Available to work 90% of home games during the Fall/Winter semester.
- Must have reliable transportation and live in the Worcester or surrounding areas.
