About the Role:

Reporting to the Manager, Operations, this position is responsible for managing the shipment and receipt of all products and materials into the Rogers Place loading dock. 

 

Your Focus in this Role:

  • Coordinate the acceptance or return of shipments according to established procedures, including documenting receipt against purchase orders.
  • Responsible for the fleet vehicle and equipment maintenance program using the Computerized Maintenance Management System per established guidelines including pre-inspection checks and documentation on all required OEG owned fleet assets.
  • Manages supply inventory for loading dock. 
  • Maintain marshalling area and east loading dock including contracted maintenance as required. 
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to disperse stock throughout the venue. 
  • Always contribute to a safe and secure loading area. 
  • Complete all finance related processes and works within established systems. 
  • Responsible for fleet asset bookings and management of calendar. 
  • Provide Shipping/Receiving support on Live Entertainment days. 
  • Administer contractor orientation process through administrative functions. 
  • Support Facility Operations administratively as required. 
  • Provide instruction and guidance to all OEG stake holders and internal entities on proper shipping and receiving methods. 
  • Maintain cleanliness of the loading dock and marshalling area, to promote our SAFE CLEAN and Tidy vision.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • High School diploma or combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities 
  • 1-2 years of experience in a receiving or warehouse environment 
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks and other related equipment 
  • Ability to read and interpret purchase orders and packing slips 
  • Knowledgeable in Shipping and Receiving warehouse operations. 
  • Knowledgeable in regulations such as building codes, OH&S, etc. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills: highly organized, results oriented with the ability to be flexible, and to work well under pressure, strong level of initiative required 
  • Strong technical abilities with Microsoft programs and familiarization with computerized maintenance and inventory systems an asset 
  • Leads by example by displaying a high standard of performance with the ability to communicate these expectations to the team to achieve above expectation results 
  • Ability to liaise with financial department to prepare reports, inventories etc. 
  • Other duties as assigned
