About the Role:

OEG Gaming manages and operates a number of gaming initiatives on behalf of the Edmonton Oilers, Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation, and other clients.  These initiatives include existing charitable raffles like the EOCF 50/50, as well as new initiatives currently in development for in-venue and online/digital.  This role is ideal for a dynamic, self-starter interested in working in the growing and dynamic gaming space involving a variety of gaming initiatives both directly and indirectly via partners. 

 

Your Focus in this Role:

  • Manages relationships with external suppliers and partners
  • In conjunction with the VP, Gaming Operations, develops and implements the short-term and long-term sales and marketing strategy for a variety of gaming initiatives
  • Assist with any regulatory requirements with AGLC as a gaming supplier (registration, compliance, etc)
  • Ensures compliance as a registered gaming supplier in any other jurisdiction outside of Alberta if required
  • Liaise with internal and external technical partners to enable the online platform,
  • Utilize data and insights to develop new product features and enhance customer experience
  • Create goals around gaming products, prioritize features and opportunities around those goals, and deliver results
  • Create solutions that enhance the fan experience through gamification
  • Work on OEG projects, as required.

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in managing products in the gaming industry, such as
  • Experience and deep knowledge with free to play games, fantasy sports, online casino, sports betting and similar products
  • Knowledge and experience in customer lifecycle management and how product features and gamification plays a role in various stages of customer lifecycle management
  • Experience in provincial gaming supplier legislation (in Alberta or anywhere in Canada) would be an asset, but not required
  • Basic understanding of business technology and system implementation process
  • Strong business acumen and people skills (finance, marketing, etc)
  • Experience creating and maintaining product roadmaps
  • Track record of leading large-scale products from conception through to completion
  • Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product development and product delivery.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills
