WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

SUMMARY
Serve as a Manager in NHL Club Finance & Venue Business group, participating in NHL Club financial reporting with a focus on reporting and audit functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Collect and verify Club reporting of Hockey Related Revenues (“HRR,” focused on Club revenues) and Unified Report of Operations (“URO,” focused on Club expenses)
  • Participate in Player Payroll Escrow accounting and reporting, and liaise with Escrow Agent
  • Work with NHL Clubs, the NHL Players’ Association and independent accountants on reporting matters and Agreed Upon Procedures
  • Responsible for overseeing NHL Club audits
  • Collaborate with other members of NHL Club Finance & Venue Business group to discover insights across Club business areas such as ticketing, sponsorship, and premium sales

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Areas/Experience
Required
  • 3+ years of work experience in financial accounting and audit
  • Strong competencies in accounting, audit, planning, project management, and leadership
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism

 Education/Certifications
  • At minimum, a degree from a four year college or university (graduate degree preferred) in finance, economics and/or accounting

Required Skills
  • Strong analytical skills, including use of Microsoft Excel
  • Disciplined, organized and detail oriented
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

SALARY RANGE:
 $90-115K
 
Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.
