Summary:
The St. Louis Blues seek qualified candidates who are passionate about creating fun and engaging content for social media and interested in a future career in digital to serve as a season-long Social Media Intern. This is paid role. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of engaging social media content, including but not limited to photos, graphics, gifs and short videos
  • Provide input and ideation for emerging platforms, including TikTok 
  • Support digital team’s efforts throughout the season with gameday content, promotions, theme nights and special events
  • Work with marketing team to conceptualize and pitch ideas for social media, website and/or video features
  • Assist with day-to-day account monitoring and moderation, and provide customer service to fans in a timely and professional manner
  • Get real-world experience covering live events on social media
  • Report on social analytics and trend-spotting 
  • Opportunity to work collaboratively with and learn from other departments across the organization, including marketing, sponsorship, sales, retail, game entertainment and community relations
  • Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications:
  • Communications, digital media, journalism or related degree preferred
  • Passion for social media and marketing with an interest in pursuing future career in digital media
  • Innovative person, who is looking to put their creativity to work
  • An eye for content and what will engage fans 
  • Knowledge of social platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, along with an interest in emerging platforms
  • Experience with photography, videography and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with attention to detail, are a must
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule around game days/nights, including weekends
