Security Systems Operator
Enterprise Center and Stifel Theatre are excited about our busy upcoming season! We are looking for dedicated professionals with experience in dispatching, CCTV operations, and event security to ensure the safety and seamless execution of our events. If you have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a background in event security, dispatching, or emergency preparedness, we want to hear from you!
Rate of Pay: $18.50/hour

The Security Systems Operator is a versatile role within the Event Control command center responsible for both dispatching and security camera operations. This individual plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of event operations, maintaining vigilant surveillance, and coordinating efficient responses to incidents.

Responsibilities:
Dispatching:

• Monitor incoming incident reports via radio, telephone, feedback platform, and other requests for assistance.
• Respond appropriately to guest and staff messages sent in through feedback platform and via radio or telephone.
• Dispatch appropriate personnel and resources to incidents promptly.
• Maintain clear, accurate, and organized incident logs.
• Track the status and resolution of incidents, ensuring timely updates.
• Escalate critical issues to the Event Control Lead or Manager on Duty as required.

Security Systems Operations:
• Monitor live camera feeds to detect and report safety concerns, guest behaviors, and suspicious activity.
• Adjust camera angles and positions for optimal surveillance coverage.
• Record, bookmark, and archive significant events and incidents for future reference.
• Assist in identifying locations and movements of potential threats during emergencies.

General Event Control Duties:
• Ensure all security and communication equipment is operational.
• Monitor weather, traffic, local news, and other feeds crucial to the event’s success and building safety.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emergency procedures and protocols.
• Maintain professional radio etiquette.
• Familiarize themselves with building layout, all departments, and guest policies.
• Possess strong situational awareness and decision-making skills.
• Anticipate guest needs and prevent escalation of issues.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in security, dispatching, or related role preferred.
• Proficiency in computer skills
• Ability to read and write clearly and legibly to draft clear, thorough incident reports.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
