The Iowa Wild is seeking an enthusiastic and responsible individual to serve as the backup In-Arena Talent Host. The position is responsible for providing superior customer service while exceeding expectations during events.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions
• Emcee and provide In-Arena entertainment during Iowa Wild home games.
• Engage fans to participate in video board elements and media TV timeouts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

  • No specific education is required, relevant experience is preferred.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • Previous experience as emcee, TV/radio, on stage, or other live entertainment roles.
  • Knowledge of hockey is preferred but not required.

 

Personal Attributes

  • Excellent stage presence and vocal talent.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to react and respond in real-time to unforeseen circumstances (i.e. fan engagement, pivoting, controlling the narrative).
  • Fan-friendly attitude and willingness to help.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.

 

Work Conditions

  • Available to work home games as a backup for primary In-Arena Talent Host during 24-25 Iowa Wild Season.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
  • Lifting up to 25 lbs.
