Position Title: Broadcasting Intern
Organization: New Jersey Titans (NAHL and NA3HL)
Location: Middletown, NJ
Duration: 2024-25 season (August - May)
Description: The New Jersey Titans are seeking a passionate and creative Broadcasting Intern to join our play-by-play broadcaster for the upcoming hockey season. This internship is designed for college students or recent graduates interested in gaining hands-on experience in the sports broadcasting industry.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting in live game broadcasts, including color commentary, pre and post game features, and prerecorded segments
- Operate audio and video equipment during games and practices.
- Operate video production software for game broadcasts
- Collaborate with the media team to create engaging content for social media platforms.
- Conduct interviews with players, coaches, and staff.
- Assist with video editing and highlight reel production.
- Attend team meetings and contribute ideas for improving the broadcasting experience.
Qualifications:
- Enthusiasm for hockey and sports broadcasting.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with audio and video equipment (training will be provided).
- Ability to work evenings and weekends during game days.
- Currently enrolled in college or university (broadcasting, journalism, or related field preferred), or a recent graduate in those fields.
