POSITION SUMMARY:
The Minnesota Frost of the Professional Women’s Hockey League is seeking an experienced and passionate individual for the Strength and Conditioning Coach position for the 2024 - 2025 Hockey Season. The successful candidate will be immersed in a multidisciplinary environment where strong communication and interpersonal skills among various healthcare professionals will prove to be an asset. The Strength and Conditioning coach is expected to hold daily meetings with the athletic training and therapy staff to determine the exercise progressions and abilities of our athletes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaboration with the various practitioners including Athletic Therapists, Mental Health Performance and Nutritionist. 
  • Ability to create and program individualized training plans for players. 
  • Create and implement rehabilitation and sport injury programming. This will include both pre-operative and post-operative interventions. 
  • Utilization of performance-based technology and implementation of the information to enhance player development. 
  • Present at all practices, games (including away) and team events. 
  •  Instruct warm-up and cool-down routines at both practices and games.

 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • University degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics. 
  • Minimum CSCS certification in good standing with the NSCA. 
  • Preferred experience working in professional sport, or work with national or varsity athletes.
  •  Hockey experience is an asset.   
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Strength and Conditioning. 
  •  Valid CPR or First Aid equivalent.
