Position Summary: 
The Pensacola Ice Flyers are seeking a Ticketing & Operations Intern for the full 2024-25 Season. This student intern will assist with group ticket sales and gameday operations and will be supervised by the Account and Operations Executive. During this internship, this intern will be able to harness their skills, learn how to effectively execute them in a professional environment, and gain significant practical experience and professional development/mentorship. 

Timeline and hours:
September - April (Potential Post Season)
15 - 20hrs per week in office + gamedays

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Lead and organize a team of game operations volunteers to assure in game functions are run correctly;
  • Represent the Pensacola Ice Flyers at community appearances;
  • Brainstorm and bring ideas to the staff about upcoming games, themes, and in game production;
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist fans with their needs;
  • Assist in group ticket sales and management;
  • Other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Essential Functions:
  • Ability to answer phones and speak with fans on a day to day basis;
  • Proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office; 
  • Capable of working independently ;
  • Highly-motivated, outgoing self-starter with strategic thinking skills;
  • Positive attitude and desire to be successful while having fun within a professional and team-oriented environment;
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and high attention to detail in a goal-oriented environment;
  • Knowledge of sports and in-game entertainment are definite assets;
  • A high level of professionalism, confidence, enthusiasm, and personal accountability;
  • Work well in a team environment and ability to collaborate with others while also working non-traditional hours;
  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills along with professional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage and prioritize daily efforts;
  • Coachable and eager to learn;
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
