Job Summary
The Manager, Ticket Operations will, manage and supervise the ticket office operations as they relate to season ticket member and group accounts, including box office management, cash control, financial reporting, ticket inventory management, ticket distribution and will work collaboratively with TCC Arena box office staff with respect to event operations. Also, responsible for coordinating with TCC box office for event setup and all aspects of the Archtics ticketing software as it relates to hockey. This individual will be expected to assist in customer service issues relating to seat locations, payments, and general guest experience. This person will be expected to provide outstanding customer service for all guests.  In addition, the Manager, Ticket Operations will also assist in general team accounting practices. 
 
Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Manage ticket office operations for Team.
  • Participate in leading analytics platforms related to ticket sales and service.
  • Provide detailed reports as they relate to analytics and other assessments to help support and drive sales force.
  • Provide regular review of industry practices relating to ticket sales and distribute to sales staff for review and implementation where practical.
  • Manage box office window on game days to resolve ticket issues and provide effective service to Season Ticket Members and other guests.
  • Assist in formulating and operation of Team’s pricing strategy.
  • Responsible for all financial reporting relating to ticketing.
  • Assist with the annual department budget when necessary.
  • Establish and review operational policies and procedures for ticket office operations.
  • Balance, deposit and report all daily box office receipts.
  • Provide support for member’s events and other team functions.
  • Facilitate smooth relationship between ticket and corporate sales and ticket operations to ensure ease of sales process.
  • Represent the department at weekly company management meetings and other meetings as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
  • Advanced knowledge of computerized ticket sales, preferably the Ticketmaster/Archtics system.
  • Significant successful compatible Ticket Office operations experience and/or business experience.
  • Excellent skill in developing and managing department budgets.
  • Strong math aptitude and ability to attend to detail.
  • Proven effective management of multiple related areas.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience developing and coordinating multi-faceted plans and issues.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating and personal interface skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees and vendors.
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, and dedication.
  • Must be flexible with working nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • General accounting knowledge a plus.
 
 
Education and Formal Training:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Advanced course on the Ticketmaster ticketing and bar-coding system.
  • Proficient in Archtics software.
 
Experience:
  • A minimum 2 years computerized box office management experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Material and Equipment Used:
  • Office equipment: copier, computer/keyboard, telephone, fax, ticket printers and scanners.
  • Ticketmaster ticketing system. 
  • NetSuite
