The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, an American Hockey League affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins, seeks a highly motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic individual to join the organization as a  Corporate Partnerships Account Executive.  

This ideal candidate is an outgoing, results-orientated sales professional who is competitive, organized, and a team player.  The Corporate Partnerships Account Executive will focus on new business revenue generation using the full range of organization assets including static and digital signage, print, radio, social media, and game night sponsorships.  The individual will identify, develop, and close new opportunities.  This individual will also sell assets for the Toyota Sportsplex, the Penguins practice facility in Wilkes-Barre.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • 3+ years in sales and business development role; ability to demonstrate a consistent history of exceeding sales goals preferably within professional sports organizations.
  • Ability to create personalize partnership packages based on the needs of the partner or team
  • Responsible for scheduling and conducting sales meetings and presentations for selling sponsorship assets
  • Responsible for the creation of proposals and contracts
  • Achieve sponsorship sales revenue goals and maximize the sale of fully integrated sponsorships in all major categories
  • Responsible for keeping department and other members of the organization updated on progress towards established revenue goals and the progress of closing identified prospects. Uses SCORE CRM track sales activity and client contact information
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leaders to execute partnership programs and campaigns; implement development strategies to continually engage partners in our business
  • Effectively build and sustain strong partner relationships 
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & CRM, with SCORE CRM knowledge preferred 
  • Ability to maintain great client/customer relations and work in a team setting
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate both orally and written with staff, guests, and clients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and make sound decisions quickly
  • Excellent time management, organization and customer service skills 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Competitive nature and a contagious, positive attitude
