Essential Functions:
The Henderson Silver Knights Graduate Assistant, Communications Video Production, will work closely with the Communications staff of the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights (HSK) and IFL’s Vegas Knight Hawks (VKH) to produce video content for the teams’ digital and broadcast platforms.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Shoot, edit, and produce video features with players and staff for social media use
- Shoot and produce game highlight footage for social media use and team video archives
- Capture and edit player interviews and post-game media assets
- Assist in the ideation and execution of video concepts for communications, marketing, and sponsorship
- Work with HSK Video Production team in maintaining and utilizing team video library and YouTube page
Key Competencies and Experience:
- Education: Video production, communications, broadcast journalism, or related field
- Relevant work experience with a professional or collegiate sports team preferred
- Hands-on experience operating lights, camera systems, editing systems, Adobe Creative Suite; ability to operate equipment and lift up to 20 pounds
- Creative team player that works well within a group
- Positive, versatile, organized individual who can handle several responsibilities at once
- Embraces the VGK culture and no-ego approach
- Interested candidates must provide a demo reel of past work*
Schedule Overview:
- This is a part-time, hourly position capped at approx. 30 hours per week
- Candidate will be required to work all HSK home games (36 total, plus playoffs)
- Candidate will assist with VKH home games when able
- Candidate should be prepared to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays
