FIFA World Cup 26™ will be the biggest sporting event ever, with three Host Countries, 16 Host Cities, 48 teams and 104 matches uniting an entire continent to showcase a momentous new tournament format. With more countries, cities, teams, and games, FIFA World Cup 26™ will be the most inclusive tournament ever, engaging millions of fans across 16 unique stadiums and billions worldwide. The tournament will take place in June and July 2026.

About the Sports Authority Foundation
The Sports Authority Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization focused on serving the Houston community by providing sports-focused resources, events, and education. The Sports Authority Foundation was formed in 2017 to support the Authority's charitable activities in Harris County and the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area. The Foundation is committed to improving the communities of Houston and Harris County by hosting annual events like Gateway to Gold and Olympic Day, as well as many other community enriching initiatives throughout the year. These events allow the Foundation to provide resources and opportunities to underserved areas and groups in our community. 

About the FIFA World Cup 26 Houston™
Houston has been selected as one of 16 cities to host the FIFA World Cup 26™.  The Sports Authority Foundation serves as the host committee for the event and has hired The Harris County – Houston Sports Authority to orchestrate and manage the FIFA World Cup 26 Houston™ in June and July 2026, with a total of 7 games being played during that span.

About the Harris County – Houston Sports Authority
In sports, a dynasty is a team or individual that dominates their sport for an extended time. Over the last 25 years, The Harris County - Houston Sports Authority (HCHSA) has served as the sports marketing agency for the city of Houston and Harris County and has dominated the competition with the hardware to prove it. HCHSA is responsible for bidding on and attracting new sports events to the Houston area and overseeing the marketing and operations of those events. These events include NCAA Final Fours, College Football Playoff National Championship, CONCACAF Gold Cup, FIFA World Cup 26 Houston™, MLB and NBA All-Star Games, ITTF World Table Tennis Championships, the annual National Battle of the Bands and much more.

 Position Overview
The Sports Authority Foundation, HCHSA and the FIFA World Cup 26 Houston™ is seeking a creative and hard-working Content Coordinator to join our marketing team. As the Content Coordinator, you will produce and maintain engaging and relevant digital content, including articles, social media posts, videos, signage, and other special projects as needed. You will be expected to produce, shoot, and edit photo and video content while supporting the development of our social media strategy to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts. You will also be expected to assist in graphic design needs while maintaining the FIFA World Cup 26™ brand standards. 
This position is a contract position that begins in October 2024 and ends in August 2026.  This position is not eligible for employee benefits.

 Responsibilities: 
●       Assist in content creation, scheduling, and publishing, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. 
●       Assist in creation & design including but not limited to, signage, event programs, billboards, and email marketing.
●       Familiar with both paid and organic social campaigns across all platforms
●       Produce, shoot, and edit photo and video content for social media and other special projects. 
●       Work alongside the HCHSA Social Media team to create engaging content that aligns with social media strategy and brand online presence. 
●       Assist in maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly content calendars.
●       Monitor platform trends, best practices, and audience sentiment to make content decisions for the FIFA World Cup 26 Houston ™ digital platforms.
●       Work collaboratively as a member of a larger team to meet creative goals 
●       Collaborate on weekly content calls and cross-department brainstorming sessions 
●       Work to ensure content is informative, appealing, and on-brand.
●       Collaborate with marketing and sales team members to implement social marketing strategy and facilitate any digital sponsorship assets and obligations.
●       Onsite operational support at events as needed.

Qualifications: 
●       BA in digital media, marketing, or a similar relevant field preferred.
●       Minium 2 years of digital media experience in a related field.
●       Proficient graphic design ability with skills in various Adobe Creative Suite programs
●       Ability to manage multiple ongoing projects simultaneously. 
●       Ability to work extended hours and flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed.
●       Experience with marketing management and analytics tools, Sprout Social, and Google Analytics. 
●       In-depth knowledge of digital content trends, best practices, and emerging platforms.
●       Interpersonal skills – listens to others, works well in a team environment
●       Can prioritize work activities and use time efficiently, follows instructions, responds to manager’s instructions.
●       Skilled at photography and videography via a variety of devices or cameras, along with editing.
