Position Duration:  November 2024 - April 30, 2026


Position Overview 
The Event Operations Coordinator will assist with the planning and coordination of events related to the 2026 NCAA Men’s Final Four. This position will develop and execute events leading up to and during the 2026 Men’s Final Four and will serve as a key constituent on the Local Organizing Committee. This position is a full-time non-exempt position with an end date of April 30, 2026.

General Responsibilities (includes but not limited to): 
  • Works directly with the Tournament Director, ISC staff, and other Local Organizing Committee members, as necessary, to facilitate a shared vision for the 2026 Men’s Final Four. 
  •  Collaborates frequently with the NCAA to ensure all projects and events are completed satisfactorily.
  • Develops plans and execution of assigned projects and events related to the 2026 Men’s Final Four.   
  • Builds rapport and maintains positive relationships with NCAA and ISC partners and sponsors.
  • Assists with preparing and managing budgets related to their events and projects and provides periodic updates to the Tournament Director. 
  •  Leads the planning and execution of the monthly meetings with the NCAA and key partners. 
  •  Assists with the planning and execution of Local Organizing Committee Meetings. Participates on Local Organizing Committee to ensure proper and timely completion of responsibilities.
  •  Participates in warehouse logistics and management. 
  •  Assist with the Fan Jam promotions and other NCAA and ISC projects as requested. 
Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in event planning, sports management, marketing, social media or other related work 
  • 2+ years prior experience (can be combination of internships, volunteer, and part time/full time work) in event planning and execution, marketing, communications, social media management.

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) 
  • Comfortability in presenting to large and small groups of people 
  • Exceptional time management skills, multi-tasking abilities, team player 
  • Experience working with volunteers and/or managing and motivating people 
  • Budget management and negotiation skills 
  • Ability to accomplish projects independently and within a team 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism 
  • Fantastic customer service, ethics, and high expectations for quality 
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce (can be trained)
