Brand Partnerships Intern

P3R, is the engine behind the DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon, is seeking a Brand Partnerships Intern for spring 2025.  In this role, you will report to the Sales & Partnerships Manager and collaborate closely with our Partnerships Team to support both partnership and marketing initiatives. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in marketing, advertising, sports management, retail management, or related fields.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Research and analyze data on potential partners.
  • Collaborate on innovative ideas for potential partnerships with P3R.
  • Support the partnership team in creating and managing deliverable sheets.
  • Assist in managing partner activations on race day.
  • Oversee assigned projects from start to finish.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with the Partnerships Team and the broader organization.
  • Assist partnership team in data analysis by gathering, organizing. And analyzing data related to current and potential partners.
  • Oversee assigned projects from start to finish  
  • Perform other duties as assigned.  
Required Qualifications:

  • Must be available to staff the following events:
     
    • KOTR (tentatively January 11, 2025) 
    • St, Patrick’s Day Run March 15, 2025 
    • Course Preview Run (tentatively April 12) 
    • DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend of Events
      •  Friday, May 2nd, 2025 
      •  Saturday, May 3rd, 2025
      • Sunday, May 4th, 2025
  • Other events and hours as assigned.

  • Currently enrolled college student or recent graduate.
  • Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends as needed for events (dates flexible and negotiable).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Instagram) and social media monitoring tools (such as Hubspot or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. 
  • Valid driver’s license is required.

  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Canva
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Compensation:

  • Interns will be paid an hourly rate and will work an average of 15 to 20 hours per week, depending on schedules and events.
