Job Summary

The Technical Project Manager will have a strong background in both project management and marketing technology, enabling them to effectively lead and coordinate projects that integrate technology solutions to enhance our marketing capabilities. The Technical Project Manager will be working with cross functional groups who are working on consumer facing, marketing technology and data driven projects to ensure that they are delivered on time and on budget to the agreed scope and requirements. An ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm and discipline to the project management processes across the groups and lead on meetings and project planning, including capacity, velocity and reporting of progress. This role is integral to the continued success and development of the Consumer Behavior team in supporting the touring, festival and venue teams at AEG Presents.

Essential Functions

 

  • Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Consumer Behavior and related projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, within budget, and with a high quality of deliverables. Use agile project management methodology to develop comprehensive project plans to track progress, manage risks, and report on project status to stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with regional festival, and touring marketing teams, and other groups to gather requirements, define scope, project goals, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, including the management of departmental project meetings and distribution of updates.
  • Technology Integration: Oversee the integration of marketing technology solutions from initial discovery and development through implementation, including CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems. Ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes to deliver business impact and efficiencies and compliance.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, including negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and products to maximize our investment.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay current with emerging Martech trends and technologies. Provide technical guidance and recommendations to improve marketing processes and enhance customer engagement and revenue growth through technology.
  • Documentation and Training: Create and maintain project documentation, including requirements, technical specifications, and user guides. Conduct training sessions and workshops to ensure effective adoption of new technologies and processes.
  • Manage the Consumer Behavior / Marketing Solutions workload intake and Jira Boards to ensure that all work is assigned appropriately and delivered on time to agreed requirements, including ensuring that Festival on-site support is planned and managed across the team.

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) Computer Science, Information Technology, Marketing
  • 5 years' Experience in Project Management, and leading large-scale projects in a Martech or Software Development
  • Experience working on Agile methodologies and principles.
  • Experience in software development, systems architecture, or a related technical field is required.
  • Strong understanding of marketing technology platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Adobe Marketing Cloud, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Proficient in the use of Jira and Confluence to manage complex projects and associated documentation.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • This role requires excellent technical and analytical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Pay Scale: $78,164 - $106,587
