FALL MBA INTERN, INSIGHTS – OVERVIEW:

Elevate is looking for an MBA-level intern to join our fast-growing Insights team in the sports and entertainment industry this fall. Individual(s) will focus on supporting projects for Elevate’s clients focused on helping improve the fan experience, revenue streams, and operational performance. You will support project objectives and help structure problems, conduct primary and secondary research, develop presentations, and support project recommendations to key stakeholders. This role will be part of the Insights but will cover a range of services across our business, including partnership valuation, partnership sales, and brand representation.

This is a remote position with our Insights team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ability to analyze complex, high-volume data sets to identify narrative trends and extract actionable insights for reporting
  • Build high-quality visualizations that illustrate the stories underlying the data we collect
  • Build financial models to inform clients and team’s pricing and packaging strategies and revenue forecasting
  • Support survey development, including content development and design, execution, monitoring, and report building
  • Support focus group sessions, including content development, fan coordination and segmentation, transcript analysis, etc.
  • Pull data sets and build high-quality visualizations that illustrate the stories underlying the data collected
  • Develop and present data-driven presentations and recommendations to all stakeholders including Insights team members, senior leadership, and third-parties
  • Perform detailed sports, and entertainment industry research focused on (but not limited to) professional teams, live entertainment venues, college landscape, digital and social activation trends, partnership sales, and more.
  • Formulate and test hypothesis related to client projects or business methods using quantitative analysis and delivering insights that drive business impact

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Eligibility/Education/Experience
    • Must be enrolled in a full-time, 2-year MBA program and in-between first and second years of enrollment.
    • 3-5 years of prior experience in the sports industry, management consulting, investment banking, and/or media/entertainment/tech or related field is a plus
  2. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
    • Passionate about the sports industry with a strong work-ethic
    • Ability to multi-task with concurrent projects and prioritize under the pressure of deadlines
    • High attention to detail, being consistent, thorough and accurate across all aspects of the task at hand
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and public-speaking experience with the ability to communicate confidently and competently to all audiences
    • Strategic and critical thinker who is a proactive, a self-starter, and a problem-solver
    • Positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to be an outstanding team member and encourage those around them
    • Ability to conduct rigorous data analysis resulting in high-quality models and presentations
    • Ability to develop frameworks and project management tools to guide project approach, timelines, reporting, and decision-making
    • Power user of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
    • Power user of Google Suite (Google Slides & Google Sheets)
  3. Preferences
    • Prior experience in an investment banking, consulting, or other analyst role
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus but not required
    • Familiarity with surveying visualization tools (e.g., Qualtrics ) is plus but not required
    • Prior experience using CRM systems (i.e., Salesforce, MS Dynamics) is plus but not required

POSITION AND BENEFIT DETAILS:
  • Part-Time, Non-Exempt; Temporary (12 Weeks)
  • 20 hours per week
  • $25/hour
  • Location Remote

COMPENSATION
The total compensation $25/hour. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in San Francisco, New York City, Charlotte, or Nashville.  An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
