FALL UNDERGRADUATE INTERN, INSIGHTS – OVERVIEW:

Elevate is looking for an undergraduate intern to join our fast-growing Insights team in the sports and entertainment industry this fall. Individual(s) will focus on supporting projects for Elevate’s clients focused on helping improve the fan experience, revenue streams, and operational performance. You will support project objectives and help structure problems, conduct primary and secondary research, develop presentations, and support project recommendations to key stakeholders. This role will be part of the Insights Team but will cover a range of services across our business, including partnership valuation, partnership sales, and brand representation.

This is a remote position with our Insights team. The role will require the ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regularly conduct sports, and entertainment industry research focused on (but not limited to) professional teams, live entertainment venues, college landscape, digital and social activation trends, partnership sales, and more.
  • Implement qualitative and quantitative research best practices for the department to amplify our position and brand in the marketplace
  • Contribute to competitive landscape analysis, collecting primary and secondary data across sports league and teams
  • Support survey development, including content development and design, execution, monitoring, and report building
  • Communicate and present project updates and recommendations to Insights team members and senior leadership
  • Pull data sets and build high-quality visualizations that illustrate the stories underlying the data collected
  • Comfortable analyzing a variety of high-volume data sets to identify narrative trends and extract actionable insights for reporting
  • Contribute to creating and sharing competitive findings with white papers and case studies
  • Coordinate and develop internal project team materials, including calendar invites, meeting briefs, notes, etc.
  • Support the Insights team on internal initiatives and special projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Eligibility/Education/Experience
    • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate degree
    • Current class standing of a rising Junior or Senior who expects to graduate between May 2025 and December 2026
    • Previous professional experience is a plus but not required
  2. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
    • Passionate about the sports industry with a strong work-ethic and willingness to learn and improve their knowledge of the sports industry
    • Ability to multi-task with concurrent projects and prioritize under the pressure of deadlines
    • Ability to work autonomously in a fast paced environment
    • High attention to detail, being consistent, thorough and accurate across all aspects of the task at hand
    • Team player with the ability to bring a positive and can-do attitude to the team
    • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and public-speaking experience to all types of stakeholders
    • Exceptional research skills with the ability to translate data insights into stories
    • Strategic and critical thinker who is dynamic, proactive, and a problem-solver
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
    • Proficiency with Google Suite (Google Slides & Google Sheets)
  3. Preferences
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus but not required
    • Familiarity with surveying visualization tools (e.g., Qualtrics ) is a plus but not required
    • Prior experience using CRM systems (i.e., Salesforce, MS Dynamics) is a plus but not required

POSITION AND BENEFIT DETAILS:
  • Part-Time, Non-Exempt; Temporary (12 Weeks)
  • 20 hours per week
  • $20/hour
  • Location Remote

COMPENSATION
The total compensation $20/hour. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in San Francisco, New York City, Charlotte, or Nashville.  An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
