Nature of Work:

The Denver Nuggets Dancers & Average Joes perform at all Denver Nuggets home games and at various events throughout the year. Nuggets Dancers will need to be available for multiple evening dance practices and games per week, including weekends and holidays. Average Joes will need to be available for practice on Tuesday evenings and approximately 1 game per month.

 

Examples of work performed:

  • Nuggets Dancers participate in Mon/Wed/Fri evening rehearsals from July 31, 2024, through the end of the Denver Nuggets season.
  • Average Joes participate in Tuesday evening rehearsals from September through the end of the Denver Nuggets season.
  • Nuggets Dancers perform multiple dance routines at home Denver Nuggets games. Nuggets Dancers will need to arrive at least three hours prior to tipoff and stay through the duration of the game.
  • Average Joes perform at approximately one game per month and need to arrive at the arena 30 minutes prior to tip off and stay through the duration of the scheduled in-game performance (approx. 2 hours)
  • Attending and interacting with fans at non-game public appearances.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum
  • Must be at least 18 years old at the start of the NBA season.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Background experience in dance and/or cheerleading (Nuggets Dancers only)
  • Nuggets Dancers must be available to work 85% of Denver Nuggets home games in the 2024-25 season.
  • Average Joes must be available to work at 85% of the schedule home game performance nights.
  • Preferred
  • Ability to acquire or produce a valid driver’s license

 

Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be personable, enthusiastic, and comfortable working in front of large crowds.
  • Must have reliable transportation to rehearsals, games, and public appearances.
  • Ability to learn, retain, and execute multiple pieces of choreography in a short period of time.
  • Desire to work in a team-oriented, professional sports environment.
  • Interest in contributing creatively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally.

 

Compensation

  • $18.29 per hour
