LEGENDS ATTRACTIONS

Global Attractions is the newest business vertical and is quickly expanding. Starting with One World Observatory sitting high above Manhattan at the top of the tallest building in the Western hemisphere and now expanding all over the world, the Attractions vertical brings together all of Legends 360-degree capabilities to develop unparalleled experience in one awe-inspiring space, featuring some of the most spectacular views and newest technology around the world. For each location, we operate the tour experience, ticket sales, hospitality offerings, special events, and sponsorship - all to elevate the guest experience at the top. Some of the venues include One World Observatory in NYC, The View at the Shard in London, Sky View Observatory in Seattle, Vue Orleans, Illuminarium Projects, and more.

 

ONE WORLD OBSERVATORY

Positioned at the top of One World Trade Center, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, on levels 100, 101, and 102 – One World Observatory provides guests with unique, panoramic views of New York City, its most iconic sites, and surrounding waters from 1,250 feet. A customized guest experience complements the seemingly endless views - which evoke feelings of the City’s signature pride, hope and determination - including special interactive experiences and dining options, plus a sit-down restaurant.

In 2016, One World Observatory received awards and recognition from the Concierge Choice Awards (Winner: Tourist Attraction), Themed Entertainment Association (Thea Awards for Outstanding Achievement), TripAdvisor (Top U.S. Trending Summer Attraction), and Lonely Planet (Favorite Online Listing).

 

THE ROLE    

The Manager, Tourism & Trade Sales is responsible for building, maintaining and growing partner relationships with key segments within the travel trade industry including FITs, concierges, and tour operators. The Tourism & Trade Sales Manager will leverage partner relationships to maximize volume and revenue in addition to increasing marketing visibility for the overall OWO brand within the contracted B2B and B2C channels.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee OWO’s FIT, concierge and tour operator programs and identify areas to grow each segment
    • Manage and expand OWO’s network of resellers and ensure strong presence within travel trade
    • Oversee OWO’s relationship with the local hotel sector to drive additional volume and revenue through this channel
    • Oversee OWO’s relationship with local, domestic, and international tour operators to maximize groups volume
  • Understand and service OWO’s partner roster through daily communication and implement growth and development initiatives. Monitor and fulfill/delegate partner requests.
  • Maintain up-to-date client communication within the internal CRM (Salesforce)
  • Foster a consistent dialogue and maintain alignment with Legends Global Attractions corporate support to leverage the attractions portfolio where relevant and support the development of best practice
  • Generate and aggregate reporting for OWO, Legends Global Attractions internal teams, and partners
  • Understand internal ticketing system to generate reports and set up ticket packages and/or change and update products
  • Help to organize and manage key tradeshows, sales missions and additional events in respective markets to help keep OWO top of mind with partners, offer brand visibility and provide proven ROI
  • Attend select in-market networking events, industry meetings, trade shows and sales missions as needed
  • Maintain proper brand presence on partner sites, in print collateral and in digital marketing spaces
  • Support FIT contracting process including the development of new contracts, contract amendments and contract renewals. Facilitate edits through the internal legal team.
  • Oversee affiliate microsites and facilitate promo or barcode requests for new and existing partners when necessary
  • Manage one direct report ensuring objectives are met/exceeded and fostering learning and development
  • Partake In supporting the operation during major events, holidays, and high guest-count days

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Five to seven years’ experience in the hospitality, tourism or attractions industry
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing, sales, sponsorship, communications, business or related field
  • Ability to proactively prioritize, manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously within time constraints and with strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and financial skills a must; understanding of data analysis, research process, ticket sales patterns, and demographic trends
  • Must be creative and resourceful with excellent negotiation, analytical, thinking, planning, and communication skills
  • Experience managing a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. Master collaborator. Team player who excels in mediating among multiple divisions and external partners and vendors
  • Entrepreneurial, with the ability to balance strong creativity and innovation with practical solutions
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment. Must have the ability to adapt to change on a daily basis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as well as nights, weekends, holidays as required
  • Possession of problem-solving capabilities to address and resolve issues. When necessary, must be an effective negotiator, comfortable in both complex negotiations as well as sophisticated business situations
  • Possession of well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to connect to a wide variety of audiences, demonstrating strong communication skills

 

COMPENSATION

$87,500 + bonus (up to 10%) + a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401(k) plan.
