VENUE/PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Georgetown Athletics and Legends are engaged in a partnership that will integrate data and analytics, premium seating, and ticket sales to maximize the revenue for men’s basketball. Legends will manage all aspects of the Georgetown men’s basketball ticketing program. The partnership will ensure that Georgetown basketball has all the necessary support to be one of the premier teams in the BIG EAST.

THE ROLE

The Ticket Sales Representative is primarily responsible for driving revenue and hitting sales goals around the season, group, and premium ticket packages for Georgetown men’s basketball. This person should be a self-motivated and positive professional. The Ticket Sales Representative will work under the direction and guidance of the Director.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • The candidate will be responsible for offering a full menu of seating opportunities for Georgetown Men’s Basketball.
  • Coordinate and execute sales calls on all potential customers through provide leads, prospecting, cold callings, and referrals from current customers.
  • Effectively use CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions.
  • Participate and contribute in weekly sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Work in conjunction with Georgetown Athletic Department and Ticketing staff to promote and generate sales on all events while providing a great fan experience.
  • Assist with any administrative ticket functions.
  • Assist with any special projects or duties as assigned by Director.
  • Setting and conducting in arena and out of the office appointments
  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours, weekends, events and game days
  • The candidate will be accountable for certain levels of activity (calls made/appointments set) and goals
QUALIFICATIONS

 To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 1-2 years sales experience is preferred
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintain a professional image and positive attitude
  • Serve as a main point of contact for general athletic ticket inquiries that come in through inbound phone calls, email, and social media.
  • Set and conduct in stadium, arena and out of the office sales appointments.
  • Effectively use CRM to maintain accurate records of all client and prospect interactions.
  • Reach and exceed individual and team sales revenue goals.
  • Assist with managing and stewarding existing season ticket members.
  • Prospect and cultivate new sales leads through creative lead generation methods, as well as follow up on leads provided by partner organization
  • Ability to learn and master software programs including Salesforce CRM and Ticketing platform
  • Ability to handle heavy volume of outbound and inbound phone calls and emails
  • Candidate should possess excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Candidate should possess an optimistic team-first attitude, as well as a competitive desire to be the best
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and effectively influence and communication with C-level clients
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Candidate must have a strong work ethic and a desire to build a career in professional sports
  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
