SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY

SDSU Athletics has partnered with Legends Global Sales to assist in the sales strategy and execution of ticket packages for Aztec football, men’s & women’s basketball, as well as premium and priority seating at the new Snapdragon Stadium.

 

THE ROLE       

Legends Global Sales is seeking a Ticketing & Fundraising Specialist for our Premium Sales and Service Team at San Diego State University. As a Ticketing & Fundraising Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for servicing our most high-end accounts while driving revenue and hitting sales goals around the season tickets, premium tickets, donations, unrestricted dollars, and hospitality packages for SDSU Athletics. This person should be a self-motivated and positive professional. This position is responsible for engaging, servicing, and soliciting existing SDSU Athletics donors and premium ticket holders while also identifying new prospective donors. This position will be focused on building relationships, servicing all Aztec supporters, driving revenue, and being a positive steward and representative of Legends and San Diego State University. The Ticketing & Fundraising Specialist will work under the direction and guidance of the Director, Sales & Service.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Founders Club & Suite Service Member Services: Provide comprehensive game-day communications and logistics support, handling requests for third-party events and predictive catering management.
  • Relationship Building: Schedule and conduct appointments with Premium clientele to strengthen relationships, aiming to elevate donor levels and ticket sales.
  • Sales Opportunities: Conduct sales calls to potential customers through various methods, including prospecting, cold calling, and referrals. Offer diverse seating options for SDSU Football, Men’s Basketball, and other ticketed sports.
  • Customer Portfolio Management: Identify and manage a portfolio of new prospects and existing donors, ensuring excellent customer service and driving revenue through ticket and donation sales.
  • Donor Engagement & Stewardship: Foster relationships with current donors and prospects through creative methods such as networking events, speaking engagements, game day interactions, stadium open houses, and external meetings.
  • Donor Cultivation: Identify and evaluate potential donors, designing and implementing strategies for prospect cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to meet monthly and annual goals.
  • Software Utilization: Efficiently use Salesforce CRM, Allucian, and TM Archtics to record touchpoints and purchases accurately.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in and contribute to weekly sales meetings and training sessions.
  • Aztec Club: Work in tandem with the Aztec Club, the primary fundraising arm of San Diego State Athletics, supporting initiatives, projects, donor outreach, and exclusive events as needed.
  • Special Projects: Assist with special projects or duties as assigned by the Director of Sales.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Be prepared to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, events, and game days.
  • Activity and Goal Accountability: Maintain accountability for specific activity levels (calls made/appointments set) and goal achievement.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Prior sports sales/service/hospitality industry or equivalent experience is required.
  • Candidate should possess strong team-oriented work ethic and a positive, “Service-First” attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Candidate should possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Candidate should work well within a team environment, aiding and support to team members.
  • Previous working experience with CRM/Salesforce/Allucian is a plus.
  • Able to work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends, and holidays.)

 

COMPENSATION

Competitive salary ($26.44 hourly), plus monthly bonus potential and a generous benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
